We have brand new skipping ropes and will spend the upcoming winter term learning to skip.

Margaret Foster

Today we were so lucky to have a visit from ex Silver Fern player, for our Duffy Assembly. She spoke to us about reading and how the more you read the more you get better at it. Same as it with netball!

Reading time

Here are some of the things Room 2 do during reading time. Jaidyn is reading books from his browsing box, Alixis and Mandela are buddy reading, and Brooke is practicing reading without using her finger. Nice work Room 2!

Butterflies

It's so good to be back at school and with all my lovely children. I missed you all so much! Today one of butterflies hatched and came and sat on us. It felt funny on our skin and it tickled!

Our Farm Trip

What a fantastic day we've had! We rode horses, milked the goat, played with the sheep dogs, watched the farmer shear the sheep, and the ducks being fed. Big thanks to Rotary for sponsoring the trip. It was brilliant!

Horses

Hopefully we'll see some horses tomorrow. In anticipation we made some from tin foil, to add to our class farmyard.

Assembly

I was SO proud of Room 2 presenting assembly today. You were fantastic! And your singing was AWESOME!

Up

Yesterday's blog didn't go in the right place as it was Leap Day! So I'll repost it. We have been learning all about the letter 'u' and learning how to spell 'up'. We blew up balloons and played a game where we had to keep them up off the ground.

Our farmyard

We are exploring different ways to make animals for our farmyard. This week we used the Interactive whiteboard to draw cow pictures. They look cool!

Little puppies

Today we learnt to spell 'little' and had a visit from Miss Young's little puppies!

Maths

Today we were learning numbers to 10. We used the iPads to play a game perfectly supporting this objective.
